Kathmandu: Park Tae-Young, Ambassador of the South Korea to Nepal, met with Hitendra Dev Shakya, Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), on February 27 to discuss ongoing cooperation in the power sector.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the progress of Nepal–Korea energy cooperation projects and explored ways to further strengthen bilateral collaboration. Ambassador Park expressed hope for greater participation of Korean companies in areas such as power plant construction and transmission line development.
Shakya highlighted the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project as a flagship example of successful Nepal–Korea cooperation. He also expressed commitment to expanding collaboration, particularly in environmentally sustainable energy development.
