Kathmandu: The Manakamana Cable Car resumed regular operations on September 17, a week after services were halted.
According to Ujwal Sherchan, Chief of the Cable Car Office, the service was suspended on September 10 following a Gen-Z demonstration on September 8–9. During the closure, regular maintenance of the cable car was also carried out.
The Manakamana Cable Car, Nepal’s first of its kind, provides convenient access to the Manakamana Temple in Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality, Gorkha. Its lower station is located at Cheres, Ichchakamana-4, Chitwan.
