MCC Compact to Continue in Nepal

Kathmandu: The U.S. government has decided to continue the implementation of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Nepal Compact following a review of its foreign assistance programs.

The $500 million MCC Compact, supported by an additional $197 million from the Government of Nepal, aims to boost economic growth and regional energy security by building electricity transmission lines and upgrading roads.

The Government of Nepal has been officially notified of the decision.
