Kathmandu: Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai addressed the ‘Partnership for Nepal Promotion’ workshop, jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal and the Nepal Tourism Board on January 16.
He highlighted that tourism represents one of the most tangible and effective expressions of Nepal’s soft power, and emphasized the need for enhanced coordination and synergy among key stakeholder institutions.
Similarly, Mr. Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) underscored the effectiveness of tourism promotion through public diplomacy.
A comprehensive presentation on Nepal Promotion was made by the Public Diplomacy Division of Foreign Ministry, which was followed by a focussed discussion and interaction.
The Director Generals of Departments of Archaeology and Tourism of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and other senior officials, including from the Policy Research Institute also participated in the workshop.
