MOFA Briefing Focuses on West Asia Situation, Safety of Nepalis and Emergency Response Decisions

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nepal held its regular press briefing on Friday, highlighting recent developments on a range of diplomatic and consular matters.
During the briefing, spokesperson Lok Bahadur Chhetri updated the media on the evolving situation in West Asia, with particular focus on the safety and well-being of Nepali nationals in the region. He said the government is closely monitoring developments and maintaining necessary coordination to ensure the protection of Nepali citizens.
Joint Secretary Ram Kaji Khadka shared key decisions from the fifth meeting of the Emergency Response Team, chaired by Foreign Secretary Amrit Rai. He also briefed on the ongoing work of the high-level interministerial task force led by the Foreign Minister, which is coordinating preparedness and response measures.
The ministry further informed that preparations are underway to observe International Wellness Day on April 15, with related activities and awareness initiatives to be organized.
