Kathmandu: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nepal organised a press briefing today focusing on the latest situation of Nepali nationals in the West Asia region and other key matters.
During the briefing, Spokesperson Lok Bahadur Chhetri presented an overview of recent developments in West Asia, highlighting the status of Nepali nationals and the Government’s continued priority on ensuring their safety, security, and welfare.
He also shared updates on flight facilitation efforts, the repatriation of bodies of deceased Nepali nationals—unrelated to the conflict—and ongoing initiatives to improve service delivery. These include the rollout of a new passport system, integration of a Virtual Assistant, and preparations for the celebration of International Wellness Day.
Joint Secretary Ram Kaji Khadka briefed the media on decisions taken during the Fourth Meeting of the Emergency Response Team. He outlined measures related to flight arrangements, strengthened inter-agency coordination, and ongoing engagements.
Khadka also provided updates on the formation of a High-Level Inter-Ministerial Task Force led by Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal, along with progress made in key areas under its mandate.
