Kathmandu: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of Nepal released a press statement conveying their deep sadness by the tragic death of an innocent Nepali national in an attack in northern Kuwait.
The Ministry stated that they unequivocally condemn the indiscriminate attack against civilians.
The Ministry called upon all parties concerned to engage in dialogue and diplomacy, exercise the utmost restraint and to ensure the safety, security and protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure in accordance with their obligations under international law.
The Ministry further underscored the imperative of full respect for and strict adherence to the Geneva Conventions and applicable rules of international humanitarian law under all circumstances.
The Ministry extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved family of the deceased and reaffirms the Government of Nepal’s commitment to providing all necessary assistance, including facilitating the earliest possible repatriation of the mortal remains of the deceased.
