Kathmandu: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba addressed a briefing program at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, jointly organized with the Government of Sudurpashchim Province, for Diplomatic Missions and development partners.
The event was held in preparation for the Sudurpashchim Province Investment & Development Summit (SPIDS), which is scheduled to take place in Dhangadhi, Kailali, on 17–18 November 2025.
In her remarks, Minister Deuba underlined the importance of cooperation among all stakeholders in advancing equitable development, particularly in regions like Sudurpashchim that have remained relatively underdeveloped.
On the occasion, Chief Minister of Sudurpashchim Province, Kamal Bahadur Shah, shared the objectives and preparations for the Summit. Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai also delivered welcome remarks and facilitated the briefing session.
The Summit Secretariat presented an overview of the province’s investment and development roadmap, emphasizing opportunities for collaboration and sustainable growth.
