National Tuberculosis Control Centre Concludes Annual Tuberculosis Review Program

Kathmandu: The National Tuberculosis Control Centre (NTCC), with support from UNDP’s Global Fund programme, concluded the Annual Tuberculosis Review Program on January 22.

Addressing the program, Health Minister, Dr. Sudha Gautam emphasized the need for integrated approaches, effective utilization of diagnostic technologies, and stronger local-level guidance to ensure sustainability, particularly in the context of declining global donor funding.

During the event, the Director General highlighted the TB-free Palika initiative as a strategic priority, stressing the importance of enhanced monitoring, supervision, and intergovernmental coordination.

The dialogue, supported by the collective efforts of the government, participants, and development partners, reaffirmed a shared commitment to advancing tuberculosis control and strengthening resilient, people-centred health systems in Nepal.
