NCC, Vietnamese Vice President Explore Ways to Boost Bilateral Investment and Trade Promotion

Kathmandu: The Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) held discussions with Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to take trade, investment, and private sector cooperation between Nepal and Vietnam to new heights.

The meeting was attended by NCC President Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal, Immediate Past President Rajendra Malla, Senior Vice President Dipak Kumar Malhotra, Women’s Chamber President Urmila Shrestha, along other officials. Moreover, during the meeting, Vietnam’s Honorary Consul and Immediate Past President of NCC, Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, was also present.

The discussions focused on expanding bilateral trade relations, creating an investment-friendly environment, promoting industries and businesses, and exploring the possibilities of mutual cooperation.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Vietnam, the Chamber regarded the meeting as a significant opportunity to begin a new chapter of economic partnership, trade, and investment.

Vice President Anh Xuan emphasized that close coordination between the private sectors of both countries is essential to facilitate bilateral trade expansion and investment flows between Nepal and Vietnam. She stressed the indispensable role of the private sector in further deepening economic relations between the two countries.

She also encouraged Chamber representatives to visit Vietnam and collaborate with Vietnamese chambers of commerce in exploring potential areas of investment.

The Nepal Chamber of Commerce highlighted the immense potential for cooperation and partnership between Nepal and Vietnam in sectors such as agriculture, tourism, energy, education, and information technology. Further expressing its commitment to strengthening economic relations with Vietnam.
