Kathmandu: Hon. Shisir Khanal, Foreign Minister of Nepal, and H.E. Cheikh Niang, Minister of African Integration, Foreign Affairs and Senegalese abroad of the Republic of Senegal, signed a Joint Communiqué on September 26 establishing diplomatic relations between Nepal and Senegal.
In a brief meeting prior to the signing ceremony, the Ministers exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest including the recovery and reconstruction efforts following the devastating climate disaster in Nepal and underscored the importance of further expanding bilateral relations in the shared progress and prosperity of the two countries and peoples.
With this milestone, Nepal’s diplomatic outreach has expanded to 188 countries.
