Kathmandu: On August 19, Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba held a telephone conversation with Jeyhun Bayramov, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, focusing on recent developments in the region and avenues for cooperation.
During the conversation, Minister Dr. Rana congratulated Minister Bayramov on the initialling of the Peace Agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, a landmark step toward resolving the decades-long conflict in the region.
The ministers also reviewed the current status and future prospects of bilateral and multilateral relations, highlighting cooperation in economic trade, tourism, humanitarian efforts, and other key areas. They positively assessed collaboration within international organizations and under the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement, emphasizing the importance of strengthening mutual support in multilateral forums.
Both ministers also exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in the days to come.
