Kathmandu: Bala Nanda Sharma, Nepal’s Foreign Minister, held a telephone conversation with Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Foreign Minister of Bahrain, on the evolving situation in West Asia on March 5.
During the conversation, the two ministers exchanged views on the ongoing developments in the region. Minister Sharma appreciated Bahrain’s efforts in effectively managing the situation and thanked the Bahraini government for ensuring the safety and security of expatriates, including Nepali citizens.
In response, Foreign Minister Al-Zayani assured that the government of Bahrain remains committed to safeguarding the Nepali community and will continue to take necessary measures for their protection.
Both ministers expressed hope that the ongoing conflict in the region would end soon.
