Kathmandu: Nepal continues to benefit from the UK Government’s Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS), which allows duty-free access for Nepali exports to the UK.
At a recent programme organised by the Nepal Britian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ellie Parker, the UK’s Regional Trade for Development Adviser, highlighted that recent improvements to the DCTS have created more opportunities for Nepali exporters, particularly through more flexible Rules of Origin for the garment sector.
Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Nepal, H.E. Rob Fenn emphasised that greater use of the DCTS can help Nepal increase its exports, create jobs, and strengthen trade and economic ties between the UK and Nepal.
