Kathmandu: The Consulate General of Nepal organized an interactive program with representatives of Nepali organizations, professional groups, community leaders, and journalists from New York and nearby areas to discuss consular services.
The program, held at the Consulate’s assembly hall, began with a presentation on recent initiatives aimed at making services more simple, convenient, effective, and user-friendly. Information was also shared on important procedures that service recipients should know while using consular services.
During the interactive session, participants raised questions and offered suggestions on issues such as passport renewal, non-resident Nepali identity cards, citizenship, visas, and official documentation. Feedback was also provided on improving service delivery through community collaboration, public awareness, and economic diplomacy.
Speaking at the event, Consul General Dadhiram Bhandari said that such programs are organized regularly to stay connected with the community and improve consular services. He thanked participants for their cooperation and valuable suggestions to make services more effective.
