Kathmandu: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, together with Joint Financing Partners and civil society representatives, has officially opened the Joint Review Meeting of the School Education Sector Plan (SESP).
Education Minister Mahabir Pun joined representatives from the European Union, FCDO, UNICEF, Norway, Finland, ADB, the World Bank, and civil society groups AIN and NCE to discuss priorities for ensuring quality education for every child in Nepal.
Over the five-day review, government officials, development partners, and education stakeholders will assess progress, identify challenges, and agree on key reforms needed to strengthen Nepal’s education system.
This year’s review highlights Nepal’s commitment to inclusive dialogue, with live-streamed sessions and participation from young people, teachers, civil society organizations, and community members, reinforcing that education transformation requires every voice.
Together, partners reaffirmed their shared goal: ensuring that every child in Nepal learns, thrives, and is prepared for the opportunities of the future.
