KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Nepal in London and the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) jointly organized “Nepal Night,” a cultural and storytelling event, at the Embassy on June 6, 2025.
Ambassador Chandra Kumar Ghimire welcomed guests, encouraging them to explore Nepal’s rich history, vibrant culture, and breathtaking landscapes. NTB CEO Deepak Raj Joshi emphasized Nepal’s commitment to sustainable and transformative tourism, while Dr. Narayan Prasad Regmi from the Tourism Department shared government efforts to revitalize the industry.
The event featured storytelling on Nepal’s mountain climbing adventures, the heritage of Kathmandu Valley, and conservation efforts for tigers and wildlife. Notable speakers included mountaineer Mingma David Sherpa, heritage expert Sanyukta Shreshta, and conservationist Dr. Amy Fritz Maurice.
A short documentary highlighting Nepal’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and cuisine was also screened.
Over 120 guests attended, including travelers, climbers, conservationists, and tourism professionals. The evening also included cultural performances such as the Kumari dance, Sakela dance, Khukuri dance, and the popular song ‘Resham Firiri.’
