Nepal Participates in Global Conference on Climate and Health in Brazil

Kathmandu: A Nepali delegation led by Dr. Bikas Devkota, Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population, attended the 2025 Global Conference on Climate and Health in Brasília, Brazil, from 29 to 31 July.

The conference is hosted by the Government of Brazil, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). It also serves as the annual in-person meeting of ATACH, focusing on the connection between climate action and global health.

Nepal reaffirmed its commitment to work with the international community to advance health and climate goals. Ambassador of Nepal to Brazil, Nirmal Raj Kafle, was also present at the event.
