Nepal Restricts Scotland to 170/7 in T20 World Cup Clash

Kathmandu: Nepal restricted Scotland to 170 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their final group-stage match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Mumbai, India.

After winning the toss, Nepal opted to bowl first and managed to contain Scotland to 170/7 in their allotted 20 overs.

For Scotland, Michael Jones top-scored with 71 runs off 45 balls, while George Munsey added 27 off 29 deliveries. Brandon McMullen contributed 25 runs from 19 balls.

Among Nepal’s bowlers, Sompal Kami was the standout performer, claiming three wickets for 25 runs in his four overs. Nandan Yadav picked up two wickets, while captain Rohit Paudel and Kushal Bhurtel took one wicket each.

Both Nepal and Scotland have already been eliminated from the tournament after failing to finish in the top two of their group. Nepal is yet to register a win in the competition, while Scotland secured one victory, defeating Italy by 73 runs.
