Nepal to Host World Peace Program 2026; 25 Global Billionaires to Join Landmark Event

Kathmandu: The Third Edition of the World Peace Program is set to take place in Lumbini and Ramgram from January 11 to 13, 2026. Organized by the Promised Land Foundation, the event carries a global call for peace aimed at shaping a prosperous future.

Around 10,000 participants, including UN cultural ambassadors, global business leaders, billionaires, scholars, artists, youth and community representatives from Nepal and abroad, are expected to attend.

According to media coordinator Sulochana Khatiwada, 25 billionaires from various parts of the world will visit Nepal for their first joint tour to explore investment and collaboration opportunities.

The third edition of the programme places a special focus on Nepal’s spiritual heritage and the interconnected goals of peace and prosperity. Organizers say the event’s theme aligns closely with UN SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.

Over the three days, the program will feature sessions on peace, climate, development, local welfare, social justice, pragmatic peace-building, leadership, youth issues and community-focused topics. Khatiwada added that former heads of state from three countries are also scheduled to attend.
