Nepal Tourism Board Participates in OTM Mumbai 2026

Kathmandu: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is participating in the Nepal Pavilion at the Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) Mumbai 2026, being held at the Jio World Convention Centre from February 5 to 7, 2026. This year, Nepal’s participation is its largest to date, with 34 leading tourism companies representing the country at Asia’s premier travel trade show.

OTM Mumbai is considered a key platform for India’s outbound travel market, bringing together travel professionals, tour operators, hoteliers, and destination management companies from across the world. Nepal has been participating in OTM for over 25 years, steadily strengthening its presence in the Indian market.

Over the years, Nepal has expanded its tourism image beyond trekking and pilgrimage to include luxury tourism, adventure sports, wellness, and MICE tourism. The participating Nepali companies this year represent a wide range of offerings, including luxury resorts, heritage hotels, adventure operators, and destination management companies.

Nepal’s pavilion is known for its cultural authenticity and has received multiple awards at OTM for destination presentation. In 2025, Nepal welcomed more than 293,000 Indian tourists, with Indian visitors contributing significantly to tourism revenue through longer stays and premium travel experiences.

For 2026, Nepal is focusing on attracting high-spending Indian tourists from major cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore, as well as emerging Tier-2 cities. The promotion highlights easy access to luxury resorts, casino tourism, pilgrimage circuits, and adventure destinations, including improved road connectivity beyond Kathmandu.

NTB Chief Executive Officer Deepak Raj Joshi said the Indian market remains Nepal’s most strategic tourism partner, noting strong cultural ties and shared goals for sustainable tourism development.
