Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi Organizes Mobile Consular Camp in Al-Ain

Kathmandu: The Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with Nepali Samaj UAE and other Nepali organizations, organized a mobile consular and labor awareness camp in Al-Ain city, located about 200 kilometers from Abu Dhabi, on September 6, 2025.

The camp provided key services such as passport renewal, labor legalization, consular support, and legal consultations. According to the Embassy, the event saw significant participation from Nepalis seeking these services.

Alongside service delivery, the program also disseminated important information on policies, laws, and procedures recently implemented by the Government of Nepal in the field of labor governance. This included workers’ enrollment in the Social Security Fund, its process and benefits, the advantages of sending remittances through formal channels, and the provision of obtaining re-labor approval directly from the Nepali Embassy in the UAE. Awareness on financial literacy, as well as the rules, laws, and safety measures to be followed while living and working in the UAE, was also shared.

The Embassy emphasized its commitment to making passport renewal services simpler, faster, and more effective. It further assured that special priority is given to Nepalis facing urgent issues, such as those with expired passports or visas, lost passports, or those requiring labor legalization.

The Embassy also expressed hope for continued active participation and cooperation from all Nepali communities and organizations in the UAE in similar programs planned for the future.
