Kathmandu: The Embassy of Nepal in Muscat organized a labor awareness and financial literacy program on December 5 , providing essential information and services to Nepali migrant workers in Oman.
During the event, workers were briefed on the use of artificial intelligence in daily life, physical and mental well-being, the Social Security Fund, and regulations governing permissible and prohibited activities in Oman. The program also covered workplace awareness and key aspects of financial literacy, aiming to promote a safer and more productive lifestyle.
A mobile camp for passport and consular services was operated alongside the event. For workers unable to take leave or those travelling from distant locations, a team of doctors from Al Sama Hospital conducted a free health camp, offering basic medical services. Many participants expressed appreciation that such a comprehensive program had been organized on a public holiday.

Addressing the program, Ambassador Dornath Aryal informed attendees that the 11th meeting of the Standing Committee on Development Diplomacy had recently been held with representatives of Nepali community associations in Oman.
