Nepal´s Embassy in Bangladesh Organizes the Interaction Programme on `Enhancing Nepal–Bangladesh Economic Partnership´

Kathmandu: An interaction programme on “Enhancing Nepal–Bangladesh Economic Partnership” was organized by the Embassy in Sylhet on on April 9, bringing together business leaders, tourism entrepreneurs and media representatives to discuss opportunities for strengthening bilateral economic ties between Nepal and Bangladesh.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Chief of Mission Lalita Silwal highlighted the growing economic engagement between Nepal and Bangladesh and emphasized progress in trade, connectivity, energy and tourism. She underscored the crucial role of the business community in Sylhet in promoting trade and tourism linkages, encouraging them to explore opportunities in Nepal and build meaningful partnerships with Nepali counterparts. She also addressed queries and concerns raised by participants during an interactive session.


First Secretary Yojana Bamjan delivered a presentation outlining key areas of economic partnership and emphasized prospects for enhancing collaboration between the two countries.
Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Md. Sarwoer Alam stressed the importance of improved connectivity in boosting trade and commercial ties between Nepal and Bangladesh. The programme also featured remarks from the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Tour Operators Association of Sylhet, and representatives of other business associations based in Sylhet.
Prominent business leaders, travel and tour entrepreneurs, and media persons, among others, attended the programme.
