Kathmandu: A delegation from the Nepal Foreign Trade Association (NFTA), led by its President Shiv Kumar Agarwal, and Secretary General Jayant Kumar Agrawal, called on Md. Shafiqur Rahman, Ambassador of Bangladesh, at the Embassy premises.
The delegation briefed the Ambassador on NFTA’s initiatives and activities in promoting Nepal’s foreign trade with various countries, including Bangladesh.
Ambassador Rahman shared his perspectives on the potentials and challenges of bilateral trade between Nepal and Bangladesh and stressed the importance of exploring opportunities for deeper collaboration. He assured the delegation of the Embassy’s full support in facilitating enhanced cooperation, particularly through people-to-people and business-to-business connectivity.
He also highlighted the Embassy’s role as a bridge to connect businesses and entrepreneurs of both countries to foster stronger economic ties.
The First Secretary (Trade, Promotion and Culture) and the Counselor (Political) of the Embassy were also present during the meeting.
