Kathmandu: On the International Day of parliamentarism on June 30, the Norwegian Embassy in Kathmandu recognized the important role of parliaments in giving citizens a voice and strengthening democracy.
Through the Parliamentary Support Project, implemented by UNDP Nepal, Norway supports efforts to make parliamentary processes more open, inclusive, and responsive to citizens’ needs.
From strengthening the voices of women and representatives from marginalized communities to engaging young people and civil society, these efforts reflect Nepal’s ongoing commitment to participatory and representative governance.
