Kathmandu: The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kathmandu, in collaboration with the Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal, conducted a field visit to Koshi Province to monitor progress on women’s economic empowerment initiatives.
The visit was part of a joint programme with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), focusing on gender equality and social inclusion.
During the visit, the team met women participating in a Certificate Level Montessori Teacher Training organized by Women Rehabilitation Centre Nepal (WOREC), in coordination with Triyuga Municipality and the Private and Boarding Schools’ Organization Nepal (PABSON).
The training aims to link practical skills development with local employment opportunities, with support from local authorities, helping women translate learning into meaningful economic participation.
