Kathmandu: The Nepal–U.S. Alumni Network (NUSAN) successfully concluded its 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) with the participation of more than 180 members representing U.S. Government Exchange Alumni and U.S. Graduate Alumni.
The AGM featured inaugural remarks, recognition of life members, updates from provincial coordination committees, and remarks from the U.S. Embassy in Nepal. Presentations were also made on organizational progress, financial reporting, membership growth, and the network’s strategic priorities. The event concluded with interactive discussions, networking sessions, and a democratic election process conducted by the Election Committee.
The AGM elected a new Executive Committee under the leadership of Swarna Tamrakar (IVLP 2014) as President. Agni Raj Upadhayay was elected Vice President, while Nikesh Balami was chosen as General Secretary. Pratigya Bashyal was elected Secretary and Gargi Nepal Treasurer.
Other elected executive members include Kabita Shrestha, Alish Gurung, Pawan Poudel, Prakash Lamichhane, Astha Kumari Chaudhary, and Navina Gyawali.
NUSAN expressed gratitude to the outgoing committee and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening alumni engagement and collaboration nationwide under the new leadership.
