Kathmandu: The Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations hosted a reception to mark the successful conclusion of the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) and Nepal’s Presidency of ECOSOC bringing together an impressive gathering of Ministers, Heads of Delegation, Permanent Representatives, diplomats, senior UN officials, development partners and stakeholders.
Reflecting on an extraordinary year of service, Amb. Lok Bahadur Thapa expressed profound gratitude to Member States, the UN system, and all partners for their trust, collaboration, and unwavering support throughout Nepal’s Presidency. President Thapa underscored that the achievements of the year belonged not to one country or one Presidency, but to the collective commitment of the international community to dialogue, partnership, and multilateral cooperation.
As Nepal is concluding its Presidency of ECOSOC, the evening celebrated the enduring relationships, trust, and shared purpose built over the past year, while reaffirming Nepal’s steadfast commitment to advancing the 2030 Agenda, strengthening effective and inclusive multilateralism, and ensuring that no one is left behind.
