PM Oli Highlights Nepal’s Role in Global Development Dialogue at FFD4 in Seville

"Nepal is proud to have served as a co-facilitator alongside Mexico, Norway, and Zambia," PM Oli says.

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has reaffirmed Nepal’s commitment to inclusive growth and global cooperation by actively participating in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) held in Seville, Spain.

Taking to social media, PM Oli expressed his enthusiasm about joining the global platform under the national vision of “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali.” He lauded the successful adoption of the conference’s key outcome document — Compromiso de Sevilla — which outlines a renewed international roadmap for sustainable financing and equitable development.

“Nepal is proud to have served as a co-facilitator alongside Mexico, Norway, and Zambia,” PM Oli wrote, underlining the country’s active diplomatic and developmental engagement on the world stage.

The summit, aimed at revitalizing global commitments towards financing sustainable development, brought together world leaders, policymakers, and civil society representatives to address pressing challenges such as inequality, debt distress, and climate financing.

As a co-facilitator, Nepal played a key role in bridging perspectives from the Global South and ensuring that the voices of least developed and landlocked countries were meaningfully represented in the final outcome.
