PM Oli to Attend UN Conference in Turkmenistan

Kathmandu: Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli will leave for Turkmenistan on August 3, leading a Nepali delegation to the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), taking place in Awaza from August 5 to 8.

PM Oli was invited by Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and UN Secretary-General António Guterres. He will address the conference in his national capacity and as Chair of the Global Coordination Bureau of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs). He is also set to co-chair a high-level roundtable and participate in other related events.

During the visit, the PM Oli will meet with various heads of delegations and senior UN and international officials.

He will be accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya, Chief Adviser Bishnu Prasad Rimal, MP Surya Bahadur Thapa Kshetree, and other senior government officials. The delegation will return to Nepal on August 8.
