Kathmandu: The Ambassadors Club Nepal President Amb. Dr. Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal welcomed Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Abrar H. Hashmi, in a courtesy visit at the Ambassadors Club premises in Kathmandu on January 23.

During the meeting, they underscored the continued commitment of both Nepal and Pakistan to strengthening bilateral relations through sustained dialogue and cooperation. Ambassador Hashmi, who has served as Pakistan’s envoy to Nepal since his appointment in 2022, engaged in discussions with Dr. Sarmila on avenues for enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including cultural exchange, economic ties, and education.
Amb. Dr. Sarmila, who was the former Nepalese Ambassador to Spain and Oman, now leading the Ambassadors Club Nepal — highlighted the importance of deepening people-to-people linkages and multilateral engagement. Under her leadership, the Ambassadors Club has become a key platform for fostering mutual understanding among diplomatic representatives and promoting Nepal’s inclusive diplomatic vision.
The meeting at Ambassadors Club Nepal follows a series of diplomatic engagements in Kathmandu aimed at promoting collaboration between Nepal and countries across South Asia and beyond.
During the meeting, the publisher of The Diplomat Nepal magazine, Bimal Dhakal and the press department head of the Pakistan Embassy, Muhammad Nouman Zafar was also present.
