Prime Minister Karki holds a telephonic conversation with President of UAE Zayed Al Nahyan

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki held a telephonic conversation with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, on March 7.

During the conversation, the two leaders exchanged views on the evolving situation in the region and the safety and security of all residents in the UAE.

Both sides underscored the importance of restraint and expressed hope that the prevailing situation would subside soon.

The Prime Minister appreciated the measures taken by the UAE authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents, including the Nepali community.

The President thanked the Prime Minister for the call and Nepal’s expression of solidarity during this challenging time.

The President also expressed heartfelt condolences on the sad passing of a Nepali citizen while in duty at the Zayed International Airport on 1 March 2026 while appreciating the loyalty, honesty and dedication of Nepali citizens.
