Kathmandu: Ambassador Md. Golam Sarwar, Secretary General of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), met with Deepali Khanna, Senior Vice President and Head of Asia at The Rockefeller Foundation, in Bangkok on November 28, 2025.
The meeting facilitated constructive discussions on areas of mutual cooperation, with both sides highlighting shared priorities in advancing regional development, promoting social welfare, and strengthening partnerships that enhance the well-being of communities across South Asia.
Ambassador Sarwar reiterated SAARC’s commitment to working with international organizations to tackle pressing regional challenges. Ms. Khanna affirmed The Rockefeller Foundation’s focus on supporting innovative and resilient solutions that improve lives and foster long-term development.
Both parties underscored the value of continued engagement and expressed readiness to explore opportunities for joint initiatives aligned with their shared vision of inclusive growth and sustainable development in the region.
