SAARC Secretary-General Sarwar Calls for Regional Unity on Climate Resilience

Kathmandu: South Asia Regional Dialogue on Climate Adaptation and Resilience, co-hosted by the SAARC Secretariat and ADPC, is being held in Bangkok from July 29 to 31.

Speaking at the three-day regional dialogue, SAARC Secretary-General Ambassador Golam Sarwar urged member states and the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) to work together to address the shared threats of climate change and disasters.

He emphasized the need for partnerships to reduce disaster risks and build a resilient, sustainable future for South Asia. He also called on developed countries to fulfill their commitments to climate funding and green development.
