Kathmandu: Goalm Sarwar, the Secretary General of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), visited the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) on February 13.
He was accompanied by Tanvir Ahmad Torophder, Director (ARD & SDF) and Md. Amirul Islam, Desk Officer (ARD) of the SAARC Secretariat during this visit, while meeting with Dr. Pema Gyamtsho, Director General, ICIMOD and his team.
In their remarks, SG Sarwar and Dr. Gyamtsho assured to extend cooperation in potential areas of activities for the development of this region.
After a formal meeting, both SAARC and ICIMOD teams visited the ‘Living Mountain Lab’ of ICIMOD in Godawari, Lalitpur, Nepal.
