Gorkha: Snowfall has been reported across the northern belt of Gorkha district since last night, affecting daily life and tourism in the region.
Residents of Chumnumbri Rural Municipality said snowfall has occurred in several areas. “The area received light rainfall and snowfall last night, and it is still ongoing. People are staying indoors, and yaks have been kept in sheds,” said Pasang Funjo Lama of Chumnumbri-7.
Villages including Nile, Chhule, Pangdun, Lar, Phurpe, Lamagaun, Burji, Jong, Chhekam, and others above 3,000 meters are covered in snow. Samagaun, Syala, and Lho villages are also blanketed with snow.
