Kathmandu: Ambassador of Switzerland to Nepal, H.E. Danielle Meuwly visited the Anandaban Leprosy Hospital of The Leprosy Mission Nepal on June 30, together with representatives of Lepra-Mission Schweiz, a longstanding supporter of the hospital.
The visit provided an opportunity to observe the hospital’s work in treating leprosy and addressing the associated social stigma. Embassy of Switzerland were impressed by the high level of professionalism and the commitment demonstrated by the staff in delivering quality care and support to patients.
The visit of the Swiss Ambassador underscored the continued importance of maintaining attention and care for leprosy – an illness that has largely faded from public awareness, but still requires dedicated medical and social responses.
