Kathmandu: The Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal has announced a new partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nepal to empower young people, especially young women and members of marginalized communities, to take a meaningful role in Nepal’s governance processes.
“Together, we aim to strengthen democratic governance and ensure Nepal’s youth have a voice in shaping the nation’s future,” the Embassy stated in a social media post.
The partnership comes at a time when there is increased demand for integrity, accountability, and inclusive civic spaces in Nepal.
Over the next two years, the Swiss Embassy and UNDP will work across Koshi, Madhesh, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces. Their joint efforts will focus on strengthening civic education, creating safe and constructive spaces for youth engagement, and supporting youth in exercising their voice.
