Kathmandu: The UK reaffirmed its commitment to deepening economic ties with Nepal during a meeting held on January 8 at the Embassy with the newly elected members of the Nepal-Britain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NBCCI).
The Ambassador Rob Fenn welcomed the incoming leadership team, led by Dr. Roshan Rathi, and took the opportunity to recognise the contributions of outgoing NBCCI President Rajendra Kumar Khetan for his dedicated service and leadership.
The meeting focused on practical and forward-looking strategies to strengthen bilateral trade relations and expand investment opportunities between the UK and Nepal. Discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration in key sectors, knowledge exchange, and creating a more enabling environment for businesses in both countries.
The UK emphasised its continued support for Nepal’s economic growth and acknowledged NBCCI’s vital role in connecting British and Nepali business communities, fostering partnerships, and promoting mutual prosperity.
Both sides expressed optimism about the future of UK–Nepal economic cooperation and looked forward to a productive and impactful collaboration with the new NBCCI leadership.
