Kathmandu: The United Arab Emirates has eased visa procedures for Nepali citizens after a temporary suspension linked to security concerns following the Gen Z protest. The move follows a formal request from the Government of Nepal, according to the Nepal Foreign Employment Agencies Association and Immigration Director Tika Ram Dhakal.
Under the revised rules, all applicants must now submit a police clearance certificate. The change is expected to help maintain strong remittance flows, as the UAE remains Nepal’s largest labor destination, with 80,901 workers receiving final labor approval in the first four months of the fiscal year.
