UK and Dutch Partners Launch £15 Million Finance Facility in Nepal

Kathmandu: The British Embassy in Kathmandu, in collaboration with the Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank (FMO), is set to operationalise the £15 million NIB – Catalytic Finance Facility, a blended finance initiative.

The facility aims to mobilise larger volumes of Development Finance Institution (DFI) capital, enhance capacity within Nepal’s financial sector, and de-risk high-potential but undercapitalized sectors of the economy. It is also expected to contribute to the creation of thousands of new jobs across the country.
