Kathmandu: The United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) President Lok Bahadur Thapa met with James Kariuki, Charge d’Affaires, Permanent Mission of the United Kingdom to the United Nations, on January 21.
The meeting featured productive discussions on upcoming ECOSOC programmes and events, including the ECOSOC80 commemoration, the Partnership Forum, the Coordination Segment, the Financing for Development (FfD) Forum, and the Special Meeting on Financial Integrity.
They also exchanged views on the ECOSOC and High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) review, the UN80 initiative, and key priorities related to the global development agenda and climate action.
