Kathmandu: The President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Lok Bahadur Thapa, attended the 4th Committee of the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly General Debate on the Special Political and Decolonisation Committee on October 8.
According to the Nepal Mission to the UN, ECOSOC President Thapa reaffirmed Nepal’s strong commitment to the equal rights of all peoples and their right to self-determination as enshrined in the UN Charter. He further stressed the need to bring colonialism, in all its forms and manifestations, to an end.
