Kathmandu: Secretary-General of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) and Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for the LDCs, LLDCs, and SIDS (UN-OHRLLS), Rabab Fatima, met with Gyan Chandra Acharya, former Under-Secretary-General of UN-OHRLLS.
During the meeting, Fatima and Acharya exchanged views on issues concerning landlocked developing countries and Nepal’s progress toward graduation from the least developed country (LDC) category.
“I commended Nepal’s leadership on LDC/LLDC issues, including as LDC Chair, and we discussed its progress towards graduation. I reaffirmed UN-OHRLLS’s full commitment to supporting a smooth transition,” stated Secretary-General Fatima.
