Kathmandu: The United Nations Resident Coordinator to Nepal, Hanaa Singer-Hamdy, held a meeting with Prime Minister Sushila Karki at her office on October 8.
The meeting focused on various aspects of Nepal–UN relations, with discussions centering on shared priorities, including ensuring credible and inclusive elections in 2026, advancing transitional justice, promoting good governance, combating misinformation, and sustaining progress toward Nepal’s graduation from the Least Developed Country (LDC) status.
Moreover, in a social media post following the meeting, UN Resident Coordinator Singer-Hamdy reaffirmed the United Nations’ commitment to supporting Nepal’s democratic process and long-term development goals.
“The United Nations Nepal remains committed to supporting Nepal’s democratic journey and the aspirations of its people for peace, justice, and prosperity,” she stated.
