Kathmandu: Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda, UN Assistant Secretary General and UN Women Deputy Executive Director, met with Shequal Foundation, young women innovators, female hackathon finalists, and adolescents’ girls in ICT to explore how digital innovation can advance women’s economic empowerment and strengthen care solutions in Nepal.

“It is through partnerships—public, private, and UN—that we can create the ecosystem that can take women-led innovations to the next level of scale and impact.” was emphasized strongly by Deputy Executive Director Gumbonzvanda during the interaction.

The interaction highlighted Shequal Foundation’s innovation-to-impact model, supporting girls and young women through mentorship, incubation, and the development of market-ready digital solutions addressing challenges from financial inclusion to the care economy.
