Kathmandu: UN Women Nepal met with the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens to strengthen cooperation on gender equality ahead of the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women.
The meeting discussed Nepal’s preparations for CSW70, including progress on gender-responsive justice and women’s rights. Officials said the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) Roadmap is in its final stage and awaiting Cabinet approval.
Both sides also reaffirmed collaboration on inclusive elections and climate action to ensure no woman or girl is left behind.
