Kathmandu: A two-day Tourism Photojournalism Training has been launched in Lumbini to strengthen the promotion of the province’s religious, cultural, and natural tourism destinations.
The training is organized by UNDP and the Nepal Tourism Board’s Sustainable Tourism Project (STP) in collaboration with the National Photojournalist Group Nepal (NFPJ) and FNJ Rupandehi. It aims to equip photo and tourism journalists with skills to capture compelling visual stories that promote local destinations at the global level.
Featuring expert-led sessions, hands-on learning, and field practice, the programme highlights the role of visual storytelling in sustainable tourism, showcasing Lumbini beyond its identity as the birthplace of Buddha by highlighting its diverse cultures, landscapes, and communities.
