Kathmandu: As part of a UN synergy, UNDP Nepal’s Parliament Support Project, supported by Norway in Nepal, and UNESCO Kathmandu recently convened key stakeholders— including Parliamentarians, cultural practitioners, and legal experts— for an intensive review of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (Conservation) Bill, 2081.
As the Bill undergoes clause-wise discussion in the House of Representatives’ International Relations and Tourism Committee, this joint consultation provided a vital, timely platform for evidence-based policymaking.
By bridging the gap between policymakers and practitioners, UNDP is supporting Nepal in drafting a context-responsive framework that keeps its diverse living heritage vibrant for generations to come.
